The United States is increasing travel controls on the United Kingdom as a mutant strain of COVID-19 spreads rapidly.
All passengers from the UK will be required to test negative to coronavirus within 72 hours of departure.
Studies on the mutant strain suggest it may be 70 per cent more transmissible, however it remains unknown whether the variant is more severe.
