The US pharmaceutical company Moderna says its COVID-19 vaccine appears to work against new coronavirus variants, including the one first detected in the United Kingdom.
Moderna also said it would have new booster shot for the strain discovered in South Africa after tests showed its antibody response could be reduced.
Health experts are concerned about mutations of the virus that appear to be spreading faster and may prove deadlier.
