Security concerns are mounting in the United States ahead of the inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden after a man was found attempting to pass through a security checkpoint with fake credentials and a weapon.
US Capitol Police arrested and charged the man who was found with a handgun and 500 rounds of ammunition at the checkpoint set up ahead of the events this week.
The Virginia man tried to pass through a vehicle checkpoint just north of the Capitol building at about 6:30pm local time.
