The Welsh borough of Rhondda Cynon Taf has the worst coronavirus death rate in the whole of the United Kingdom.

With a population of just over 241,000 people, a total of 760 deaths have been recorded with COVID-19 as a cause, up to 15 January.

The rate of COVID deaths in the area is around double the UK’s average rate.
