Cat in bag gets rescued moments away from getting sliced by garbage separator

Garbage sorters from Ulyanovsk, Russia rescued a cat that was a whisker away from getting sliced and diced by the automated garbage separator. The animal was discovered within a plastic trash bag (insert obligatory cat in the bag joke). According to the crew’s director, the cat turned out to be well-fed, clean and well-groomed, meaning that its previous owner quite literally threw it away. The animal was not injured but was frightened upon its rescue.
