The Telegraph’s US Editor, Ben Riley-Smith, gives his first-person account of what it’s like to be inside the US Capitol one week on from the riots.
With seven-foot fences lining the perimeter of the building, and National Guard packing the corridors, being inside the US Capitol is a ‘bizarre’ experience at the moment, according to Ben.

He was allowed into the building during the House of Representatives debate of the articles of impeachment against Donald Trump.
