Wisconsin, where the Democratic Convention is being held, was a state Hillary Clinton shunned in 2016 which unexpectedly flipped to deliver Donald Trump the presidency.

The convention was supposed to inject $250 million into Milwaukee’s economy, but will instead go virtual this year.

The online convention is underway, with speakers delivering their addresses from satellite locations or pre-recorded segments.

It will be broadcasted for two hours and four nights this week, with major news networks not committing to take it in full.

Notable speakers for the first day of the convention include Bernie Sanders and Michelle Obama.
