The government has just released its figures for July showing it dropped from 11.1 percent in June to 10.2 percent in July.
But millions of people are still without jobs because of the coronavirus pandemic – and an impasse in Congress is holding up benefits.
Republicans and Democrats are at odds over a new emergency package, after federal payments to keep people afloat expired.
