Russian opposition politician Alexei Navalny is in a coma and on a ventilator in ICU in a hospital in Siberia after falling ill from suspected poisoning during a flight, his spokeswoman said on Thursday.
She believes poison was mixed into his tea.
Navalny is a staunch critic of President Vladimir Putin.
Last year, he was taken to hospital after another alleged poisoning, while he was serving a jail sentence for encouraging people to take part in a pro-democracy protest.
