The man convicted of killing 12-year-old Tiahleigh Palmer has been found unresponsive in his prison cell.
Rick Thorburn was serving a life sentence after pleading guilty to the murder of his foster daughter in 2015 and was not eligible for parole until 2036.
Queensland Corrective Services confirmed he was found in a single-occupancy cell and taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital suffering from a suspected overdose.
