Mexican authorities have trumpeted the arrest of a notorious drug cartel leader known as ‘El Marro’, who’s gang have terrorized Mexican state Guanajuato for years, according to Sky News host Brent O’Halloran.
They are believed to be responsible for hundreds of murders as a result of their drug trafficking, extortion and a multitude of other criminal activities.
Mr O’Halloran spoke with former DEA Chief of International Operations Mike Vigil about the topic.
“He (El Marro) is a very violent individual,” Mr Vigil said.
“This is a great coup for Lopez Obrador – the Mexican president.”
