Madrid’s COVID hospital slammed by medics as existing facilities suffer cuts

A new facility for COVID patients, built in 100 days at a cost of €100 million, has just opened its doors in the Spanish capital. The opening ceremony was held with no staff present, and demonstrators outside protested that the money should rather have been spent on existing hospitals.
