The explosion happened at a port warehouse where about 2,700 tonnes of ammonium nitrate has been stored for years.
Hospitals are overwhelmed.
Lebanon’s Prime Minister Hassan Diab says the explosion happened at a “dangerous” warehouse – and those responsible will pay the price.
