Rapper and presidential hopeful Kanye West has held his first rally, where he broke down when talking about abortion.
He told a crowd of supporters in South Carolina of how his mother saved his life when his father wanted her to have an abortion.
“There would’ve been no Kanye West because my dad was too busy,” he said.
“My mum saved my life.”
Mr West also spoke of the need to have more people of colour in leadership positions.
He officially signed the paperwork to enter the presidential race against Donald Trump and Joe Biden.
The election will be held in November.
