‘Is that a cake?’: Hong Kong bakers cook up some eye-popping illusions

Stay-at-home orders and lockdown measures to fight the global pandemic have people around the world rediscovering the joy of baking. But Hongkongers Alison Chan and her partner Cony Lam are taking baking to the next level with some fantastic cakes. Their creations include confections that are dead ringers for objects such as a remote control, cup of milk tea and other items. Their eye-popping illusions crafted from cake, and some well-applied fondant icing, are also a hit on Instagram.
