The United Nations and human rights groups are condemning United States sanctions imposed on the chief prosecutor and another official of the International Criminal Court.
It has been prompted by an investigation into whether US forces committed war crimes in Afghanistan.
US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has described the ICC as a “kangaroo court”.
