Hundreds of thousands of British holidaymakers are trying to return home to the UK, after the government imposed quarantine measures on France and five other countries.
Travellers will have to self isolate for 14 days on their arrival in the UK. The French Prime Minister acknowledged the number of coronavirus cases in his country was going “the wrong way”.
The current rate of infection in France is 34 cases per 100,000 people. The UK by comparison has 17.3 cases per 100,000 people.
