Hundreds, if not thousands, of Hong Kong residents are preparing to leave the territory and take up the UK’s offer of a path to citizenship.
Many Hong Kongers are considering this option following the passing of China’s controversial new national security law which many believe will violate the region’s traditional liberties, including a free press, independent judiciary, and the right to protest.
