Nicky wasn’t born in England. 22 years ago she was one of the Romanian orphans whose plight shocked the world. As the iron curtain fell 100s of British couples poured into Romania, eager to give these orphans a new life. But, most of these children were not in fact orphans but abandoned by their parents. Now, more than 20 years on, 3 of these children are ready to go back.
