France’s anti-terrorism prosecutor Jean-Francois Ricard on Wednesday said that the Chechen (Russian?) teenager who beheaded a French teacher in a Paris suburb on Friday had paid students to identify him in front of the school prior to the attack.
History and geography teacher Samuel Paty was killed outside the Paris middle school where he taught. Police say the 18-year-old killed him for showing caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad in his class.
Ricard said police are also examining two suspected accomplices of the attacker, who he says accompanied the killer to obtain weapons later found near or at the scene of the crime.
