After the end of slavery, African Americans were oppressed by laws that enforced racial segregation, but even after they won equal civil rights, they claim to have been held back by continued racism. In Episode 8, RTD finds out whether Black and White Americans can ever genuinely integrate.
RTD meets Grand Wizard of the North Carolina KKK Chris Barker and his family, to understand the attitude of White supremacists to their African American neighbours. Media personality Tariq Nasheed and Hawk Newsome, a Black Lives Matter leader from New York City, talk about how White Americans avoiding their Black fellow citizens affects the African- American community.
