With Mauricio Pochettino next in line — has PSG become a poisoned chalice?

No doubt about it, Christmas Eve was headlined by Thomas Tuchel being sacked by Paris Saint-Germain. Tuchel did question whether he was a manager or more of a politician at PSG, but were those comments his demise? ESPN FC’s Steve Nicol believes Tuchel got sacked for their poor results in Ligue 1, where they currently sit third, and not for political reasons. A PSG side that reached the the UEFA Champions League final last season where they fell to Bayern Munich, Nicol strongly feels Tuchel needed to put the politics aside. Julien Laurens assesses the PSG squad riddled with talent with the likes of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, which he states strayed from the attack-minded and enjoyable style of recent seasons. Laurens addresses why Mauricio Pochettino might be the perfect fit for PSG, but is he truly an upgrade?
