No doubt about it, Christmas Eve was headlined by Thomas Tuchel being sacked by Paris Saint-Germain. Tuchel did question whether he was a manager or more of a politician at PSG, but were those comments his demise? ESPN FC’s Steve Nicol believes Tuchel got sacked for their poor results in Ligue 1, where they currently sit third, and not for political reasons. A PSG side that reached the the UEFA Champions League final last season where they fell to Bayern Munich, Nicol strongly feels Tuchel needed to put the politics aside.
