Bipartisan outrage is growing in the US over the treatment of the National Guard on Inauguration Day.
Guard members said they felt betrayed after a group of 5,000 was directed to an underground car park with just two toilets, no internet and a single electrical outlet.
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said it was “utterly unacceptable”.
It remains unclear who was to blame.
Safety questions are also growing after confirmation more than 100 guard members brought into Washington DC after the January 6 breach tested positive for COVID-19.
