Authorities have lifted a tsunami warning for most parts of New Zealand after thousands of Kiwis fled their homes following three powerful earthquakes.
The three quakes occurred in less than eight hours, striking off the north-east coast, the largest measuring 8.1 magnitude.
There are no reports of any serious damage or casualties.
