After pushing the nation to the brink of chaos by promising to veto the $900 billion COVID-19 relief bill that Congress took seven months to reach a deal on, President Trump finally capitulated and signed it. In the week he spent golfing while the bill sat awaiting his signature, millions of people lost unemployment benefits. Trump claimed he wanted larger stimulus checks than the $600 provided in the current bill, but pressure from allies and adversaries alike pushed him to sign the bill into law.
