United States President Donald Trump has publicly acknowledged for the first time that Democrat Joe Biden won the presidential election.
Mr Trump had previously refused to formally concede the White House race and initiated legal action over alleged election fraud.
He stood firm on his claim on Twitter while simultaneously appearing to accept Mr Biden’s victory saying, “he won because the Election was Rigged. NO VOTE WATCHERS OR OBSERVERS allowed, vote tabulated by a Radical Left privately owned company”.
The president later tweeted, “He only won in the eyes of the FAKE NEWS MEDIA. I concede NOTHING! We have a long way to go. This was a RIGGED ELECTION!”
