Taiwan researchers make Covid-19 self-test machine using biosensor chips for results in minutes

Researchers in Taiwan have designed a rapid Covid-19 testing method that they say can provide results within three minutes. The device could be used by people on their own, because very little technical knowledge is needed to operate the test equipment which uses a biochip, a special semiconductor chip with biosensors. Research teams in South Korea and the US are now looking into similar biochip tests. The tests may have applications for shortening quarantine times for business travellers.
