Former Trump Advisor Roger Stone claims he was “targeted for a legal lynching” through a court process which was nothing more than a “soviet-style show trial”.
Speaking to a packed crowd of Trump fans at a rally in Washington DC, Mr Stone the “wicked judge” in charge of the proceedings wanted to send him to a COVID-19 infested prison.
The long-time friend of the president was sentenced to 40 months in prison early in 2020 after being accused of obstructing the US House of Representative intelligence committee and witness tampering in relation to the Russia investigation.
Mr Stone said his political enemies didn’t want his appeal to reach the courts because then “it would expose their corruption”.
