President Donald Trump has once again taken to Twitter to criticise his Republican counterparts in the Senate over several critical policy issues.
The president has labelled Republican leadership “weak and tired” and has warned its congressional members to negotiate better bills or “get better leaders”.
President Trump’s grievances surround a bill which gives tech companies legal protections – which he is urging Congressional Republicans to repeal – and also the National Defence Authorisation Act.
The president wants congress to remove provisions in that act which allow confederate names to be removed from military installations.
The Republican Party is also facing a split over a potential more than $400 billion stimulus bill which would increase coronavirus relief cheques to $2,000.
The president has accused Congressional Republicans who don’t want to increase the cheques to $2,000 of having a “death wish”.
