According to the United Peace Collaborative in the US, more volunteer patrols have been out on the streets of San Francisco’s Chinatown, as the country battles rising hate crimes against Asian-Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI). The non-profit social organisation Stop AAPI Hate reported 3,795 anti-Asian incidents, between March 19, 2020 to February 28, 2021.
