Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell says the government’s media code will go before parliament this week.
The code seeks to force digital giants to pay media outlets for news content on their platforms or face fines of up to $10 million.
“There was some eyebrows raised this morning when it was not on the legislation list, but I’m told it will still be in parliament this week after it goes through party room tomorrow,” Mr Clennell said.
