US Studies Centre’s Associate Professor Brendan O’Connor says President-elect Joe Biden’s relationship with China is something which many will be “watching closely”.
“Biden is surrounded by people who are foreign policy experts, long-time China watchers,” Mr O’Connor told Sky News.
“People who have seen the various mistakes – quite frankly – America has made on China.”
Mr O’Connor said it is hard to guess what a Biden Administration will look like in relation to China as America needs “get its own house in order” first.
“Many of us will be watching closely.”
