Increasing tensions between NATO allies

French President Emmanuel Macron has told Al Jazeera his country’s conflict with Turkey is based on action Ankara has taken against European nations.
His comments come as tensions have increased in recent weeks between the two NATO member states.
The publication of what Turkey sees as insulting cartoons depicting the Prophet Muhammad has further deteriorated ties.
