Republican Senator Kelly Loeffler has talked up her “path to victory” in the closely contested Georgia Senate runoff election against Democratic Party candidate Raphael Warnock.

Ballots are still continuing to be tallied in a number of critical Georgia counties.

Senator Loeffler thanked her supporters but declared there is still “work to do”.

“This is a game of inches, we’re going to win this election,” she said.

“We’re going to save this country”.

The Democrats and Republicans are vying for control of two pivotal Senate seats in Georgia.

Senator Loeffler and David Perdue are neck-and-neck in the runoff races against their Democratic rivals, candidates Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff.

“It was very obvious my opponent campaigned on a platform of high taxes, socialism, government control of our health care, stopping our school choice for our children,” Senator Loeffler said.

“My campaign is about saving our country, fighting for the American dream”.
