MPs audibly groaned in the House of Commons when the Prime Minister stood up and walked out during Theresa May’s speech which criticised the government’s handling of the second lockdown.
The former Prime Minister had only started speaking when her successor was seen leaving the chamber, which provoked an audible reaction among the other sitting MPs.
After shrugging the incident off, Theresa May went on to deliver a long criticism of the government’s lack of transparency over the data which informed the second lockdown.
