Former Vice President Joe Biden has accused Donald Trump of legitimising North Korea and its “thug” dictator Kim Jong-un.
“What has he (President Trump) done? He has legitimised North Korea, he has talked about his good buddy, who is a thug, a thug, and he talks about how we are better off,” Mr Biden said.
President Trump said former president Obama told him upon entering office that North Korea would be the biggest issue he faces in the White House.
“He indicated we would be in a war with North Korea, it would be a nuclear war,” President Trump said.
“In the meantime, I have a very good relationship with him, a different kind of a guy, but he probably thinks the same kind of thing about me.
“We have a very good relationship and there is no war”.
Mr Biden said “we had a good relationship with Hitler in fact before he invaded Europe.”
