Protesters have taken to the streets of Chile to show solidarity with 27-year-old Franciso Martinez Romero, who was shot dead by police on Friday after officers say he resisted a routine identity check.
The government held an emergency meeting while a judge has ordered an investigation into the shooting.
Protesters say police brutality must come to an end and are demanding true accountability.

Al Jazeera’s Emily Siu reports.
