Chad Daybell Hearing: Witness Shares Secret Recording

An Idaho detective described watching a medical examiner cut layers of duct tape from the pajama-clad body of 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow in disturbing testimony during the first day of Chad Daybell’s preliminary hearing. Prosecutor Rob Wood called three members of the Rexburg Police Department to the stand Monday, as well as the couple’s former friend, Melanie Gibb, who secretly recorded a phone call in which Lori told her, “I did exactly what I felt the Lord was instructing me to do.”
